PURPOSE:

Glycol Distearate is an emulsifier, dispersant, opacifier, and viscosity modifier. This ingredient adds slip and increases opacity in the product. 

IMPLICATIONS:

Found to be nonirritating to slightly irritating on skin. It is an occlusive so care should be taken to ensure the hair is very moisturized so that it doesn't dry out.
